Half Mortise lock for a wooden chest?

Half Mortise lock for a wooden chest?

Postby jon003 » 11 Nov 2009 23:41

I am a woodworker who makes decorative boxes and for a larger tool chest that will be in a public area, I'm looking for something a bit better than the 3 or 4 standard skeleton-key style locks that you traditionally find in various woodworking stores. Just something slightly more difficult to open.

Ideally something without a large visible external escutcheon would be nice.

Mostly I've used stuff from horton brasses and whitechapel.

Any suggestions?
