What Unbreakable's done lately.

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

What Unbreakable's done lately.

Postby unbreakable » 25 Jun 2010 15:23

Hey all, its been a while since I've been around, thought I'd post a few things I've done lately.

Plug Spinner, made of cedar wood with a cork handle and mousetrap spring. Inspired by a design on here I saw, OP used a dowel and I wish I could remember his name to give credit but alas. Anyways this is my version, it work okay but not fantastic by any means,

Sargent and Greenleaf 6730 cutaway, I replaced the back plate and some of the side with plexiglass, as well as painting the inside black to make it easier to see the parts.

This Master lock came with the Foley Belsaw course, pretty cool cutaway this shows you where to drill to make a master lock cutaway.

And finally I've got a Railroad "lock", a shackle held in place by a six sided bolt with grooves....
Not too secure when you can open it with a fork!

Anyways, that's all I've got for now.
Whats new around here, anyone who remember's me around?

that stuff looks amazing but I thought we weren't allowed to put anything having to do with combo locks outside of the advanced forum.

Thanks thededer,
Maybe I've been along for too long but I thought some pics of a cutaway with no talk of drilling/manipulating etc. would be fine, either way it's up to a mod to decide! I think back in the day I got my first glimpse of the inner workings of a safe lock when someone posted a cutaway like this for sale in the BST section.

Breakdowns of any type of lock are always welcome in the open forums, Deder, just no tips on manipulation or DE.

Unbreakable! Good to see you man! And it was T-Shock, if I'm not mistaken, who wrote up the mouse trap plug spinner. I've been wanting to make one for a long time. Yours work alright?

It works some of the time, not overly impressed with it if I had a real use for it I'd certainly upgrade it.

It wasn't Tshock, it was a similar design only he used a dowel for the handle, I'll find it again someday I bet.

welcome back Unbreakable :) I haven't "met" you in the past but I remember your signature image behind some of your posts when I was starting out and dig many old treads.

Good job with that S&G cutaway.

Cheers :)

DIY plug-spinner; OP was tshock: /viewtopic.php?t=9096

digital_blue mod'ed it with a woden dowel, though his pic links are no longer valid: viewtopic.php?p=100562

I believe this is similar to digital_blue's final product: viewtopic.php?p=126827

Hope that helps.
