Need info: Excelsior UG-330 trunk lock.

Hey all, I've got an old steamer trunk I found while cleaning out my grandfather's (passed, RIP) garage. There's no way I'll prob ever find the key in all the mess. Does anyone have any info about this flat-key lock? I've searched and found nothing but pay-sites about getting flat keys. At $35/key, I'd rather just try and pick it.

Any info would be much appreciated, thx!

Poke around here... it seems a pic of a key I posted has since vanished, but Schuyler posted a link to a site that sells nothing but steamer trunk keys: http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14794&start=15

Here's what the pic I posted looked like: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-STEAMER-TRUNK-KEYS-T-46-/150461708991?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Luggage&hash=item2308377abf

Got any pics of your lock? Thanks

Yeah I've checked out that key-blank site before... I guess I'll try and make my own "key" or pick out of the spare brick strap I have. Argh I really don't wanna break the lock, but that might be the only option aside from an expensive key...

Thanks a ton for the info/links!
