hello! 2 short questions !! please!:)

ok number 1 i just ordered a practice lock from lockpicks.com , the one that says with spool pins. im a beginner , ive done the excersise that a user on this site made i think it was digital blue. anyway i did the excerise up to 4 pins until now. so do you think the practice lock with spool pins is going to stop me from learning more?
and number 2. can someone please enlighten me here? ive come to understand that the reason of the existance of a binding pin is due to poor manufacturing( the holes are not perfectly aligned so giving me a chance to put the right pins down 1 by 1. when i was doing the excersise for beginners by digital blue, he says that the order that you place the pins is of importance. i dont understand why it is of importance as the same hole will always host the first binding pin, another whole will always host the second binding pin and so on. can someone please explain? thank you very much

I am assuming you are worried about not being able to pick a practice lock, with spools in it. is that correct,
mate thats why it called a practice lock, as you can see the internals of the inner working of the lock,it gives you a advantage that you normally would not have.feel the spool ,see the spool, that added with lots and lots of practice ,it sort of becomes second nature. and your second question related to pins binding the same every time , this is not the case ,just try picking your practice locks to the left ,and then to the right ,and you will find that the pins don,t bind the same . mate you could go on and go about pins binding ,but you had short questions so i give you short answers ,hope this helps :)

The binding order is different for every lock. It's not just the chambers being misaligned, their diameters and those of the pins themselves come into play aswell. Some locks will bind straight from front to back or vice versa, but most aren't quite so linear. That's what makes part of the puzzle... if everything picked in the same order it wouldn't be much of a challenge

The pins themselves are subject to uniformity problems. The thickest pin should bind first, right? But what if you put it in the hole with the largest diameter? It could bind last.

And, of course the bidding height coupled with the security pins is an issue. Let's say you have a driver pin for a very low bitting. It's possible that the entire recessed section of the spooled part is below the shear line, so it will bind earlier. If the narrow part rests on the sheer line, it will bind much later.

There are a million possibilities. Keep in mind, though, that you tend to have to re-pick security pins a lot of times. Keep patience, and you'll persevere.
