basic training

hi all brand new to this but keen to get started , i am also very warey about all of the advertised training on the net
i will be starting from scratch and looking to build up a good quality business gradually as opposed to overnight could anyone recommend a course for me i live in the north east of england ,i could travel but rather not there seems to a lot of sales pitch on these advertised courses which is putting me off a little bit and also which is the best association to be linked with i.e UKLA

Whatever you do don't do a course that offers you a City and Guilds. It's a non existant qualification and is just a certficate not a qualification. Telling an experienced locksmith you have a City and Guilds in Locksmithing is like admiting you wear white socks with Sandals (sorry to those from the USA) Save your money and set up a dog walking business.
