Identify This Lockset?

Can anyone identify this lock set and/or tell me where I might be able to buy a similar one? I just moved into an apartment in which the previous owner has replaced a beautiful old - presumably broken, judging by the door - lock with an ugly brass Quikset, and did a really poor job of it. The enlarged hole in the door looks like it was made with a screwdriver.

This is a similar lock set that came off the closet door. I really want to put the original hardware back on my door, so I want to find a lock set similar to this one, but I don't know how to search for it.

Some measurements:
The faceplate is 8" high by 2.5" wide.
The lock body is 5 5/8" tall by 7/8" thick by 3 1/4" deep.

I don't need to know exactly what lock this is - I just want to know where I can buy a replacement that will match the rest of the apartment.

It is called a mortise lock, as for the brand that is hard to tell. I would reccomend taking it to a local locksmith, when customers bring that kind of stuff in for me to look at, we would normally have a pile of old stuff in a back room that we called "the boneyard" and we would start digging sometimes we found a match other times we would not.
