How much are you willing to spend? If a couple hundred USD doesn't scare you, check out a top of the line Abloy Protec padlock like the Abloy 362.

Sometimes I need to thick before i write. What are you trying to secure with this padlock? You can have the best lock in the world that no one can pick, but someone is going to just bust through the door with an axe if they want in that bad. One some of these high end loves, the shackle is so thick it might not fit through the hole for the padlock.

You could also look into an older used Sargent and Greenleaf padlock on eBay. The 831b can sometimes be found for cheap (I got one for $40) once. Definitely not pick proof, but not something an amateur is going to be able to rake open either.

That's because we do nothing but practice for many hours a week; as a matter of fact it's not uncommon for us to spend a few hours each day... criminals don't pick locks, so you really don't need to get into a panic about it. Just because people make it look easy on youtube doesn't make it so. Think about it, we wouldn't be showing off what we can do if it was easy. ;)

The people you're worried about much prefer to just destroy the padlocks in whatever way possible. They don't care about the lock, but if you're really worried about picking you should look at Abloy, or any padlock which can be retrofitted with a high security cylinder. Depending on where you are in the world those options will differ, so let us know and we can give you some options... for a stock padlock personally I'd recommend Abloy or the Ruko 2.

Wooden or steel shed? If it's a wooden shed, it doesn't really matter what padlock you put on there as the hasp will just give way instead. Even with a steel shed you're better off improving your overall security, ie. installing security lights and making the area itself less accessible. The lock isn't what makes the real difference. :)
