Master Speed Dial Combo Locks

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Re: Master Speed Dial Combo Locks

Just got one of these today, been looking for them since I read mh's post (early last year??)

There were four at my local Staples, and I noticed that there were differences in the screws that hold them together among the four. All of them had a screw in the center of the back that had been rounded to deter counterclockwise screwing.

There are two more screws on the left and right side of the back.

Some of the locks had regular phillips heads, the others had a triangle shaped head.

I got one with the regular phillips head, in case I want to take it apart later.

Just interesting that there are differences in construction. Barcodes and SKU's were identical, BTW.

Also, is the default combo right, down, down, left for all of them?

No, Master Lock has a quite large set of initial combo options.

Cheers
