WTH, new 5200 Keyway!!!

Postby WolfSpring » 13 Nov 2010 20:07

I know it's been a while and I"ve progressed grately in the last year that I've been picking, 5200s are my fav, probably because they are so easy to get ahold of for me. Anyway I've gotten to the point where I find them pick them, clean them up pass them on to my fellow soldiers I'm teaching to pick. So I get asked to come pick the locks on a storage unit because we are literally about to deploy and the bolt cutters are no where to be found, it's the day of our container inspection, 4 5200s, cake, first two off in less then 2 minutes, next two I can't seem to get a hook in the key way, WTF, I'm tired been up all day not thinking straight, I bend the heck out of my hook. Again kinda in a rush, got a Hazmat NCO waiting to check the container, After several minutes of not feeling right, I'm embarrassed to say I failed, and they tracked down the bolt cutters, I take the locks home with me to find it's a whole different keyway, it's not that I failed, I had never come accross this keyway, side note, I'm in Iraq lock is in the states and I forgot pictures. It's a 6 pin key also I'll see if I can find one out here. I tried for almost a week few hours a day to pick this lock and could not, finally I gave up and pulled out the pick gun, after a few tries it popped, i took it apart and there was a wierd anti bump pin in it the did not fall into the plug it was like a reverse spool and it was the farthest back driver pin. I really really need to have the wife send it or find one out here, but it was still marked 5200. ANyone else come accross one of these?
What most people call intelligence I call common sense.

   That's just too funny. Anti-bump pin defeated by a pick gun. I know it may not have been working correctly in that one, but still!

yknow, the only anti-bump function it has is not falling all the way into the plug... I can't imagine how that would not be working... what it means is that masterlock's system fails.
The BiLock isn't the first bump proof pin tumbler because it isn't a pin tumbler.
And it's called a shear line, not a "sheerline".
