Until I can make a video or get some pics I will start of with the basic idea and background. First you should understand how a wafer tumbler works as well as an over-lifting attack. This is not a new concept and don't take credit for the idea of this type of attack but just found another way of doing it besides the key blank method.
So anyways, a couple of months ago I was sitting at my desk at home, which has a pretty easy to pick lock. I decided to try and find a new way to either open it or make a key. I happened to have a zip tie handy and started to think about how I could use that to open the lock. At first I though about trying to cut it into a key but then I remembered the over-lifting attack and decided to try a slight variation of it. I inserted the zip tie into the lock and after a couple of seconds of wiggling it up, down, and sideways the lock opened. I got pretty excited about the newly discovered technique and went around trying it on every similar lock I legally could with the same success. I guess this is a cross between over lifting and the technique a pick gun uses but it seems to work.
