REQ: keyless deadbolt recommendation

Postby solidstate » 5 Nov 2011 15:56

I'm looking for a high quality keyless deadbolt. I would prefer mechanical but electronic is O.K. if you think they are truly better.

I like the KABA Simplex 900 but I'm worried about the bypass issue. Does anyone know if this model has the same problem as the other Simplex models?

We have the 900 to be very unreliable over the last few years i have seen many roll pins fail in the snib and circlips simply falling off or breaking. Most of these failures have been less than two weeks after fitting.
We get blamed for this not kabba our reputation suffers because the customer is specing a lock that is not up to the job any more I perfer to repair old ones than replace them with new

hope this helps

I dont know where you are located but I am seeing reasonable sales success with the LSDA digital deadbolt with remote control and key overide. They work well and so far no problems with the 15 i have sold in the last 6 months.

I havent seen a weblink for it sorry.
