Freeing the plug

Iv got theese two locks.. a yale 65/40 and a richdoor security sliding shackle lock and they are really bugging me because there the only two locks i have that i cant pick, i cant tension them right because in order to get a binding pin i have to turn the plug really hard,, and by that time im tensioning to hard to be able to set any pins, can i lubricate the plug?

Use whatever tension is needed to find the binding pin, then ease off tension until that binding pin lifts. Then increase tension as needed (but only as needed) until another pin binds.
