Slaymaker Rustless Types and Methods

Postby kingofthedawn » 24 Dec 2013 16:29

Hey guys, I was recently given this lock for a Christmas present and I am quite unsure how to go about picking it. It is quite necessary that I pick it soon. I have picked several basic Master locks, but this one is old and I am a novice. Any ideas?

Why is there a rush to open it soon? can you show a photo of your actual lock and the key hole as well?

Thanks,

Will simply say that it is a warded lock. The absolute rush to open it makes me hesitant to say more.

Oh, my apologies guys. I see how that might have sounded. The urgency comes from the fact that it is on a hasp of a box that my girlfriend gave me for Christmas and she told me that it is quite necessary to get through it by Christmas day. How do I post images? I have the pictures.

You can use photobucket.com if you already have a dropbox account you can post pictures that way, too. Here's a helpful topic if you need it: http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6558

Also, it may help you out if you include a piece of paper in the picture with your username written on it.

So did the gf give you a box with a padlock on it because she thinks you can open it? Look up how to pick warded locks on youtube, there's a great video there that will give you the best possible education on the topic. Funny enough, most normal pick sets aren't actually geared towards old warded locks, they are made for picking pin tumbler locks.

here's that video, enjoy.

Thank you! I had actually found that before I came back to this page. Sadly I live in Mexico, but I was able to make a homemade warded lock pick. And it worked! And she made it because she wanted to entertain me from a distance. It worked. I was messing with it for hours today.
