Yale lock on cabinet

Postby Mrdouble » 10 Nov 2015 4:29

Was hoping someone would be able to give me a little insight on this lock. The tumblers move freely so I went picked up a set of pics and training lock. I am absolutely brand new but I opened 3 pad locks today and am having a blast but I'll be honest, this lock is kicking my butt.

I'm reading about serrated tumblers and all kinds of anti-picking methods so I'm wondering if it would be better if I just hire a locksmith

yikes, I see brass fairy dust coming out of your Yale, were you raking it pretty hard? Which pick shape are you using?

that lock looks like it could use good amount of WD40 inside the keyhole and around the plug, or even something like PB Blaster or Brakleen. probably hasn't been opened in years.
