Hi, I have this Brinks Rekeyable House Key Padlock 101-45091and on the bible top rear there is a single pin with no spring. Does anyone know what this is for? I have looked everywhere and can't find anything at all on it.

Picture? I think these are pinned 5 but drilled 6. Is the pin inside the bible in the 6th pin chamber? If so, it could be a factory fluke. Or does it protrude from the back at the part of the bible that is furthest away from the plug? Or is it the pin the locks the retaining ring on the back of the plug? Those pins usually fall out when the ring is removed but the spring wants to stay inside the hole sometimes.
