Ace lock with a weird key

I picked up this lock from Ace Hardware a while ago, and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to pick it? I know shimming it probably wouldn't be too hard. What I'm wondering is a way through the key hole. It's got a free spinning metal plate on the front with a hole shaped specifically for the key.

Thanks!

That’s a simple warded padlock similar to a Master. Should be easy to open with a single-bit warded pick, whether a commercial one or homemade.

Haha, when you put it like that it makes it sound so silly to ask! Any recommendations on pick sets to get? Which one do you use? I'm new to warded locks entirely, and I'm sure any set would work. But I always love recommendations

Take your key, use a sharpie marker on the sides of the blade so you can see where the springs are located. File away the other parts of the key. Voila - warded lock pick.
