1901 Shoupe Combination Lock

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

1901 Shoupe Combination Lock

I bought this at an antique mall many years ago, it is not functional but is a nice looking old lock nonetheless. The two tumbler discs have letters A thru N on them. Anyone else own one of these or seen one before? What would a lock like this be worth to a collector considering it is not in working order?

What an interesting lock! Too bad it's damaged but thanks for showing it. BTW nice job on the photo's well lit AND in-focus.

If that padlock is brass or steel, it could be brazed or welded & repaired, kinda

Thanks for the replies everyone! I believe it is made of brass, I don't do metal work so I will not be attempting any repairs. Maybe the next owner of it can fix it.

I've had this combination lock for over ten years and have already shown it to all my friends, so I listed it yesterday to pass it along to someone else who would be interested to have it in their collection. I think it would bring a good price on eBay if it actually worked but since it doesn't I'm starting it out relatively low for a hundred year old lock.
