I need some advise please.
I got a call the other day from a church asking me to come round and repair there main front door lock's.
There's 3 chubb 3g114's top/middle/bottom.
The problem is the middle one had some sort of heavy spike /crow -bar pushed through it,and they want me NOT to replace the lock, but repair it!
Its all down to the fact that they have 14 set's of keys for each lock and as i said it would be easier for me to replace the lock with excatlly the same, but they are complaining that more different keys need to be cut if they had another different lock.dah!!
My point and question is can i change the plate and the levers with the same levers in the old lock making sure they are the same or wont this work with the old keys from the old lock?
the old lock had the keyway really dented and levers snapped inside but i can read the numbers still.
