I suppose it would, but to what end? I mean are you talking door locks, trunk/glovebox locks or ignition locks? What is your purpose for wanting to see such a lock exposed? They are really not all that interesting nor complicated. My best advice to you is go to a local salvage yard and buy a set to play with. That is how I learned about them, I went, got a set, took them apart put them back together picked with few pins, picked with all pins etc.

If you are looking for some good resources on automotive locks, just run a google search for something like
"Sidebar wafer lock GM" These locks are produced with 6 or 10 sidebar wafers, I'm sure you can find a cutaway somewhere.
Other than the wafers, they might just be plain pin tumbler locks. The locks inside all cars are pretty simple and look pretty much like a door lock; nothing spectacular.
Save a lock, pick a nose!

Already been to breakers yards, got a few locks, can seem to pick tibbe locks better in me hand than in the car,

Check out the tool safe ventures have on their site, its the best thing ever for tibbe locks. first time i used it i opened a lock in under 3 mins, now its less than a minute.

Yeah Safeventures do em, i got mine from John Richards in Liverpool cost me over £100.
Seems to get stuck a few times, but it works,
