Noticed a lock in a shopfront today, checked the face; it said "Dracadia" (well, it also said Adams Rite, but that's less interesting). I figured it was just something I'd never heard of, but checking online yields absolutely nothing -- not just nothing obvious, but Google seems like it hasn't even heard of that WORD. I might have misread the spelling or something, but I don't think so.
It was punched in a font style that looked a little like Medeco's, but I'd guess that was just coincidence. Anyone have a clue what this was?

Maybe. But does that make any more sense?

Hee hee. Big Brother's watching.
I have noticed a lot of little metal boxes attached to buildings that appear to have Medeco cylinders under flaps. I thought they might be some kind of alarm switches, but then I saw one on a door, so I guess they're probably key boxes. Interesting what you can find if you keep your eyes open.

Doesn't look like Adams Rite actually sells cylinders, just doors and lock mechanisms.

That would be a "Knox Box". It's for firefighters and emergency personel with the key.

Interesting, Towch. Is it the same key for all the boxes in an area, or something along those lines?
