I know my school uses ABUS locks to cover these boxes, I dont know whats in them, but one is a fuse box, and anotehr I suspect has something to do with either fuses or the cameras. Ill probally ask the janator one day what htey are... ABUS and ABOLY are pretty much the same right? ABUS is german and ABOLY is FInsih, but their basically trhe same?

abus and abloy arn't the same.

abus plus cylinders (which are the abus high security cylinders) are very similar to abloy's in that they work the same way with disks.

however, most abus locks are normal pin tumbler locks just like a master or american lock.

That'll vary from DQ to DQ, depending on how much security the managers of the individual franchises want to pay for.

abloy locks

Postby raimundo » 24 Apr 2005 9:34

There are probably places where vending machines are sold second hand or repaired, these places would be the likeliest to have abloy locks and van locks and tubars and that sort of thing. most likely, if the keys are lost, the lock is replaced and the old lock thrown out. There will even be vending machines that are destroyed that will have locks on them that can be removed, look in your yellow pages for vending machine, then look for repair as a subsection. or parts, if you find the place, look for a dumpster, and go back again and again to the dumpster over a period of time, sooner or later, they will offer you something good to play with I bet. That is just a strategy that I thought up while reading your post, but I has a good chance of getting you an abloy. Remember if you find only parts of an abloy, take them, later you will find the whole thing or the other necessary parts.
