mater lock little confused newb

mater lock little confused newb

ok heres what i learned so far i have got this mater lock from my work and lost the combo and i need to figure it out or they will charge me for the dam thing so i hate spending my money any way heres the mid pionts #s 6,9,16,26,29,39 im confusedd i thought you were suppose to get an odd # its like half and half also i cant seem to find what to do with this last # when i get it bc all the old threads no of the links work so im a little lost i have been searching for the past hour on this. any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I wouldnt worry too much, since the lock belongs to them, Im sure they have the serial number and combination cataloged. :P

Generally the method does offer up the five whole number stick points. But I've experimented on over fifty of these locks and find that little over a third of the time, I get at least two numbers that don't fit the profile, or six numbered sticking points, three of which end in say a 2 and the other three end in say a 9. The method does not always work, but once you for sure have the last number, the last steps are a cake-walk.

Uhm, why don`t you just shim the lock. That is a lot easier.

It won't give him the combo, though. But come to think about it, won't your POE have that combo on record for that lock?

And how much are they asking? An arm? Leg? Prolly less than a pack of cigs would cost really. Transparent post! :roll:
