Hey all got another wonder gem I might pick up on fleabay.... here's a pic, what do you think I should pay? And far as getting keys duped... Campus machine shop guy will do the trick... Going to use this in conjunction with my tri-alloy chain for my mtn-bike... since U-locks around here are a prier's joke.

I'd say $20 or $30. Not really an expert on abloy disc locks and their different value so don't quote me on it.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I'd say that you get a new one from hardware store for about 30-40 euros, so bid based on that should be fine. I would bid 15-20 euros for that one.
And yes, it is Classic according to the key in the picture

Sorry for the double post, but yes, as it is Abloy, it is disk based lock. Very hard to even decode the lock unless you have open lock at your hands.

Thanks for the replies guys! I hope I win, I've been looking for a lock similar to this or one of those Mul-T's about this size and they are pretty sought after on fleabay... I figured that getting keys made by a machinist would be a lot easier for the old-style abloy than the Mul-T...
Here's a Yale HSS50 lock that's Mul-T styled, for $10, but I cannot find ANY size dimensions on google nor does Yale's website even list the lock at all?
So what do you think between the 2 locks? (Anyone have the size dimensions, I need to fig out if the shroud is too thick to fit between my chain links?)

question: how does energy = mass X constant^2 = busted?
what is the mass you are regarding to... i could calculate the energy as the constant is constant

I would probably get the Abloy myself, probably a better choice for road salt/grit.

Okay ANOTHER contender has arrived!
Classic Medeco Metro-line 52-7 with 2 keys I'm not sure if I can pass up this deal! I Really need a high security lock like this/the aforementioned, but this one will def be a lot easier to get key dupes Vs the Abloy and the machinist milling me out sets... What do you guys think... is this good enough or should I stick with the Abloy and see if I win? (I'd REALLY like to have the Abloy, just b/c you know...)
THanks.

I think this Medeco would be more of a rare find then any MTL style lock so I would go with the Medeco. Unless it's the other way around.

Oh I'm not necessarily looking for a rare lock (it's a nice piece of mind though) I'm looking for something to protect my bike and match the security of this uber chain I have
Here's another Gem I've found that I really like! Mul-T E14-L 14mm auction price starting at $30 though...

In that case, Mul-T-Lock or MTL style is the way to go.

Rats! I lost out on the Medeco @ $39... eh well I only bid once so I really didn't try... I'm hoping on that Mul-T, then again if I can get keys copied for the Abloy, I'm surely pushing to win it! I checked out the Mul-T in the Malicious lockie's store and it's STOUT though. Def not going to be cut by anything less than 6ft / Hydrolic Boron-Certified cutters or a cutoff wheel. Then again my bike would prob be stripped down to the frame before all that transpired! HAHA sucks like that in the shity, er I mean CITY!
Speaking of B-C check out the POWER of these toys I'd LOVE to get my hands on! Click on the video and watch the destruction! Cut that Mutt-T lock right in half!

So what max bid should I place on either lock?
