KwikSet Lock Pulling

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

So basically, unless I somehow decide to rekey my titan lock to be hot swapable, I basically bought two useless control keys...well they still look impressive in my locksmith kit ^_^

Cause something tells me if you pick the lock in the first place, the lug still will lift enough not to latch...and it explains why I have had locks fall out on me ^_^

The pickle fork seems like a neat way to remove them...but I think I am still going to design something to use as the kwik puller. I am thinking a piece of pipe with a hole for a threaded rod, and key bit either made out of a key blank or a hacksaw blade...and instead of the pipe, two different supports that pad onto the door itself

Anyone that have one of these know any quirks with them?

I have a ghetto KW plug puller I made from a blank that has a sharp-angled cut (one that you can't remove -- you have to take the gallery cap off to get the key out, so it's a bit of a shoot-the-moon proposition). You insert it, put a tie between the bow of it and some sort of long lever (I suppose I'd use a bit of paracord), and basically yank as hard as you can. Need some sort of fulcrum.

I haven't a clue what I'd use for the lever in the field, but the d*mned key weighs nothing, so I might as well keep it around.
