wow that's a very cool looking lock. Doesn't it defeat the purpose to put a pickable lock on a safe though?

These locks are also selled in Germany by ABUS. Every ABUS-dealer can get one of this.

But, as you said, it's very easy to pick, BUT I get it that it would be _very_ hard to pick:
You take a err (thanks, Google Translator... in German "Feile") and you put many small cuts in the lever and in the nose of the bolt. Then it's very difficult... I have one of the locks manipulated like this. I couldn't open it so far.

Excuse my very bad English,
Lateiner from KOKSA.org
I wanted to expand my knowledge about high security locks. Please excuse my very bad English, I'm German and so I can't write and talk English as good you can do it. Yours sincerely,Lateiner

And also one of the lever kind.

The Cisa 57110 is not a safe lock. It is a high security rim lock for use on wooden doors, often as the main lock to operate surface multipoint locking. It is used mostly in Continental Europe and the Middle East, particularly the Mediteranean countries. The lock can be supplied mastered and is often found on apartment buildings.

A few people have expressed an interest in owning one of these locks. I can supply one brand new Cisa 57120-60-2 lock. This is the version with lugs top and bottom of the lock for three-way multi-locking. Left hand only is in stock, more stocks expected soon. If anyone is genuinely interested please PM me and I'll give you a price and payment details. Thanks,

Phil.

This type of lock is very common in Greece, mostly the internal variety (that used in armored doors) this specific model (external) is usually found on large garden, garage or industrial doors . Because it is extremely difficult to pick, (50% or less) of locksmiths drill it at certain points and then replace or cover the damage, another 40% will pass on the job to a more experienced colleague, and the remaining 10% is split between those that will use special picks and those that will go at it with a grinder, sometimes doing irreversible damage to the door itself. I'm aware of certain tools that are VERY expensive for the hobbyist, that are also specially made for each make and model. I would expect more information about this could possibly be found in the advanced section for those that are approved...
