What the heck? :shock: That looks more like a spacer key then a operating key.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

That's definetly an older model Emhart. The newer ones have a different bow.

I've been trying to find that out for a while. There's a thread on LP101 about whether Medeco tried to or did sue Emhart for infringement of their rotating pin patent. I have been unable to find any pub domain info on this.

On the other hand, Emhart would have been a bit of a b..ch to manufacture and service, especially for MK systems, what with all those pesky master discs with different angled grooves, etc.

I have a rim cylinder sitting in my room, never used. It does say Emhart on the keys. All the angled cuts were at the same angle though. deffinately a favorite in my collection next to the Protec :wink:
