I agree. The 140 and the 141 are so loose that they require heavy tension before anything sets or even before you get any decent feedback.
And as to the person who mentioned making a comb pick but was unsure of the pin locations, using a blank, you can impression the lock to determine where the pins fall and get measurements from there.

You don't need to go to nearly that much trouble. You mostly just need to smooth the top of the blade and know what the markings look like.
