But jeeze!
Those picks sure are really ugly, sand them a little, show them that you love them, make them feel pretty, and then they will reward you with the gift of feedback :D

You dont need to be a dick about it. Hes trying and they are a start. Lots of people start with picks like that. Good start wolf hope to see more picks made from you. You should put a bit more time into them next time and work on the finish a bit more but you have a good starting point.
