and yeh, im pretty stoked cause i've been fiddling with picking for just over a month anna half now give or take, when i get some money imma get an abus lock n play witht hat and hopefully a BEST SFIC if i can find it.

Hope you have better beginners luck with the Best SFIC than I did. My first was an S keyway that was the bane of my existence long after I had mastered my Kryptonite. Very similar to the American, but 6 pins more sporrated and less serrated. I'll be getting my first Abus in the next week or so, and if you beat me to picking that one I'll put down my tools forever!

Congrats man, now pull the 5200 apart and carefully repin it and see if you're still nailing down good times.

I eat 5200s pretty regularly and after mastering one I tear it down and repin it, i've done crazy stuff, 5 spools, 5 serrated, out of mac pinnings, and i'm still around the 20-25 second time frame with these locks, virgin field 5200s are about 45 seconds anymore. I've found that ones left out to the elements actually require more tension instead of light tension.

And yes, to those who can, I STILL can't open a 5200 with a bogata by rai, but I can open pretty much anything else with it!

*nod* i've actually repined it a few times an i'm still able to get it within a few minutes, im looking to pick up a best sfic soon when i get a lil spare change =) just need to get around to calling my local smith n see if they have any in stock.
