Heh, don't worry about it. Pretty much everyone does that when they start. The concern is not so much having someone wonder what you are up to as it is breaking the lock. There are pages and pages of posts on here where someone has had this problem. Breaking a lock is hard to do usually, but it becomes surprisingly easy when picking say... your front door at midnight on a Saturday. :lol:

Yup, not a bad idea. Even though you can do a four-spool Schlage, I'd recommend a Master 140 as a cheap immediate gratification lock. It's a different feel than the Schlage, and should be some challenge. After that, see if you can pick up something like an American 1105 somewhere.
