I need a locksmith.. HELP!

I think that rummaging through the shelves looking for the key alike code actually has a good chance of working. I looked at one of those smartkey packages of random pre-cut keys for you to re-key to and the bitting was identical to the key my house was originally keyed to, the only difference was that it was a KW1 blank for use in 5 pin locks only whereas my key was on a KW10 blank for use in both 5 pin and 6 pin locks. Pretty coincidental for the first allegedly random key that I looked at to be identical to one that I had, I think the odds are 1 in 46,000 for Kwikset keys, now if I could only do that with lottery tickets...

I don't know of any residential places with deadbolts inside.
I'd take everyones advice and just buy a new lock.

Did a job today rekeying a couple deadbolts on bedrooms-
Ppl do it occasionally when they have roommates to keep out, or if they rent out the house and like to keep a room secure for landlord storage.
