I have to agree with squelchtone on this. Sounds dodgy to ask how to open bike locks on a forum like this. If somebody asked me how to open a particular lock out of the blue. I would have to say " can't help you "
If your interested in picking then learn to pick. It takes years to become proficient by the way.
If all you want to do is free the bike, it's far easier to cut the lock/chain. If the key for the lock is lost, the lock can't be put back in service again. So no point trying to save it. I don't imagine most students use expensive locks.
A decent used lock can be pick up on eBay for not a lot. Probably less than it costs for somebody to come out and pick it for you.
