I got the sticking points for my lock now what do i do? I heard you have to do modulo math or something but I don't know what that is. How many sticking points should there be?

patience is certainly a virtue in the art of lock picking but if it is life and death to get the box open i think you are going to have to resort to the bain of all lock pickers the hammer but i do not condone the use of hammers picking is an art to master not to find a way around

it seems like you want to get into this thing without your mum knowing so you can see whats in it before she wants you to. i'd say this isnt a good thing to do, so you should just wait until your mum wants to show you whats in it, failing that just ask her if you can look in it!

no doubt if you manage to open it now it'll only spoil the suprise and you probably wont appreciate it anyway.

why not just leave it and look inside when your mum wants you to. it'll probably just be family photos or something anyway!

Listen to what everyone else is telling you. If you wait until it's time, you and your mother will share a moment of joy together when she opens the box with you.

If you secretly open the box now, you will have to pretend that you didn't, which will upset your mother, and it will spoil the surprise in the future.

The box is locked for a reason. Let it be.

Your mom might just be testing you. If she can't trust you, then what?

I say leave the box alone.

yea, thats touching. in anycase, i doubt my mom trusts me much to begin with, so id crack that thing open any way i could...then again, i doubt my mother has some keepsake squrrielled away in a box for me, so im pretty sure i wont have to worry about getting in that situation.
