Still working on the Abus Titalium 80TI/50s I got from an imgurian. These locks are tough, I get good feedback but haven't unlocked one yet. Also started on the Euro locks ratlock sent over and I can't even figure a way to get euro picks into the keyway with enough range of motion to lift pins. Haha, what a challenge!

ABUS Titalium 80TI/50, number one of two. The second still has me puzzled, I seem to get down to the last pin which seems like a mushroom pin to me and it won't set, just keeps oversetting and hanging there.

Squelch - it's music wire. I got a bunch of 36" pieces and cut them down to make tension wrenches. I've sent music wire out to a lot of people over the years, but if I have some left I'll gladly mail some your way.

Nice work on the ABUS Silverado! As for the stuck pin, I too have experienced this. I found a quick release of tension combined with a final push solved it. I used Peterson .015 thins on both the 80/50 and the 72/40, I found the cores to be very similar. If you are looking for something new, try an 83 series. Although they have no security pins, I found mine to be as tight as a drum, incredibly difficult to feel the pins setting, a surprising challenge!

I've been trying that and still meeting defeat. I did notice that pin #1 will rise without feedback and overset, but I found the sweet spot to set the driver. After that pin 2 binds and when I press on pin 2 it resets pin 1. Then when I go to set pin 1 again the counter rotation resets pin 2. Pin 2 won't bind unless pin 1 is set. Fairly certain that once those two are appropriately set I'll have an unlock but until then I'm stuck in the infinity loop of setting 1 and 2. I have a wee-tiny 4-pin Abus padlock my cousin found in an old house, and gave to me. I haven't fussed with it as much as I have the Titalium but that little bugger was tough when I did try.

Best SFIC. Easier than the Titalium for sure. Hahaha

Nick pick Silverado. Glad to see you best that thing. Pun intended. The Lage Sparrows EOD rake did the trick or was it a combination of things?

thanks Divinorum! I puttered around with a Peterson gem and TOK, trying to SPP it for a minute or so but the tolerances are so tight and my hands so cold I couldn't really get any good feedback. I went with the rake and BOK turner and just kind of feathered it for about 40 seconds and it opened. I was surprised it went so quickly, but now I have to figure out how to pick to control and hopefully I can decode it...I don't know that I will ever get around to it but it's an entertaining thought. haha.

I feel like I got ahead of myself with the last post... After deciding to go ahead and try picking the Best again, with a different pick, I picked it to control. I started working on it and in no time, I got rotation and then it stopped so I laughed a bit and dropped the core out. That wasn't hard but I doubt I could make it happen again. And now I don't know what to do with it...lol. I don't have the tool to take the pins out and decode it.

Currently training on an Abus 65/40 and a CISA 220/50 as daily practice, can pick them accurately but slow. Finally beginning to get feeling for which pin i'm actually setting, putting stripes on my picks really helped. Also trying this one, no luck so far(I have no idea if this is far outside my skillset or not and try for the heck of it):
