While waiting for lunch to cook in the microwave, picked a few locks I keep in the lunch bag... Gordon

Never seen a Home Depot with American padlocks. Interesting.
Gordon
The HD website even lists a couple of them as Master, which I know now owns American but still found it strange. The A40 and A50 definitely feel a bit different from the 5200s I'm used to. Or maybe it's in my head.
There seem to be a bunch of Americans classified as Skilcraft on the HD website, which is even weirder: http://www.homedepot.com/s/Skilcraft%2520padlockHow did you figure out which store carried them, though? The only option I get is to have it shipped free to a local store. David

I choose the lock I'm interested in, and it says "not sold in stores / check other stores". When you select check other stores it gives you a list of stores and shows quantities in stock at each. So while it could say not sold in stores it actually may be. When I check the Sklilcraft, however, it tells me they're online purchases only.

So this begs the question...do you guys sit in public picking locks?

Not normally. I use a break room that nobody else uses when I take lunch. Must be my personality that keeps them away. Gordon

No i tend to be secretive. Same as gordon mentioned, no one else around. We had a room. I dont like to deal with people, they tend to jump right to "why do you need to pick a lock.." So i can steal your Prius, leave me alone.

Got this today. It was a very simple pick the binding order was 123456. First time ive had that happen to me. I didn't know that schlage mortise locks had all this drill protection either. Im sure its old news to most people here but i was impressed.

Illinois DUO! Very happy to slay this one. Picked it up for the first time today, and picked on it straight for a couple of hours. I haven't done many wafer locks before so it took a little bit of time to get the precision required to stay on the wafers down, especially for the 4 centre wafers which are located in free space. Also required some patience with the mushroom wafers. Used a standard Peterson hook and a prybar. Really good challenge. -adi_picker

LOL!!! I've done it at work once before and a couple of people thought it was cool - got asked once to extract a broken key, I even got a request to fix a stuck zipper because "you're a locksmith, right?" Unfortunately now if anything ever goes missing from work, they're going to look at me.
