I really like that idea, Parabellum. It would make it difficult to determine which slider was in the false gate.

Mh, to put the lock into a false set that would require to withdraw when picking to the start because the wafers are blocked in this intermediate position.

I was thinking that this could be aplied to other types od locks as well - disc tumbler, wafer, pin tumbler with sidebar etc. One could add additional stepped notches that would need to stage the picking. What do you think?
