Serrated pins?

Congratulations mate! Of of my personal marks in lockpicking is when I managed to pick one of those!
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

SPPed this nice little Sears lock with a homemade gem. It had five pin stacks total and three spools, which surprised me. I picked it up at an antique store a while back with no key, and today was my first time trying to SPP it. I was able to decode the relative bittings by looking into the keyway (23134) and will see if I can cut a key later. Fun fact, it is the only lock I have that is made in Spain.

Nice Job Cowboy!!

I managed a Marks, took ages to figure it out though...

Image

1 Rake it into a "false set" - Basically get all the drivers to sit in the counter milling, so not really a false set.
2 Start setting pins in any order you want!! the counter milling is so deep that when you snap a driver past it, no other set pins will fall!! it makes no difference what order you do it in :?
3 The real challenge of the lock are the finger pins - Heavy tension and work the binding order. A small hook is the only thing i found that would get in there

Congratulations on your first spool pin! It is an important step. What kind of lock was it?

Found this today abandoned in a repo I was doing a key for.
Took a break while key was programming and played with it a little. Its pretty easy to pick.

Nice work!

Now let's see somebody use a Bogota to open a Medeco like that!

I have never seen a lock picked in that fashion before...quite interesting! I also like Gordon's idea... somewhere, someone has done it. Like Squelch opening that Medeco one handed; only he got it on video. :D

Pretty lame compared to the stuff you guys are opening but im trying to make time to practice again. Don't get much in the way of exotic locks out in the real world.
