HerrMannelig; what is the tension wrench used in the video? It seems to have a little portrusion at the very tip, did you make it that way or is that how the manufacturer made it?
If you do not manipulate the lock, then the lock will manipulate you

I think that it is a "Z" shaped wrench that is included in the SO dimple pick set. If it isn't, it looks a lot like that one. Here is a link to a picture of the set:

phrygianradar, I have the SO dimple set, and the z-shaped tensioner (sorry I wasn't clear on which video I was talking about). I was asking about the ALS mini flats from the Wilson Bohannan video. I will be getting the Peterson flat 5 next month, so maybe I can get the mini-flats as well because I have been looking to get a wallet-sized pick set for a while now.

I made a nice little pocket pick set and put the Peterson flat 5 in it. They work really well for most of the stuff that I come across, but I don't have any of the minis or a wallet set. I think I have only used that Z-shaped tensioner a handful of times. Seems like a great idea, but it doesn't fit in most of the locks (even dimple) that I have.

Here are the ALS Flats being used on a better padlock:
(This is my fourth time picking that particular lock)

I agree the Z-shaped tool is not very useful, but maybe a day will come that it will prove invaluable, who knows...
HerrMannelig; How would you rate the ALS tools? I couldn't find a review on this site, and while they look pretty good it might take some practice adjusting to them so I am sort of leaning towards making a kit from my hacksaw picks and the Peterson flat 5 wrenches.

For the ones I have, the ALS Mini Flats and the ALS Tensioner, I would rate them as good. They are very hard, and have very little flex, however, and I think they might be at risk of breaking.
I actually did have the first tension tool I ordered (the full sized one) snap with the slightest tension when I first tried to use it, but the replacement they sent seems to hold up well. So, I think it is quite possible to get one which is not quite to the intended standard.
They are a very good design though, especially for TOK tension, and I'd highly recommend the design.
I am going to make a review video of the tensioner tomorrow probably (need light).
For the full sized picks, I'd say they are too expensive for me to try, and from others who tried them, they said they broke too easily, but were a good design.
Just some low security stuff from a scrapyard, one of the Master 150s had a nasty hi lo bitting. The old brass Corbin was a bit sticky but still functioned fine despite it being made in 1911. I also made a key to the newer disc tumbler Corbin from aluminum bar stock. http://i.imgur.com/2e9P0oK.jpg?1?1343
Bought a Master Lock No. 1 today from Ace, beat it ten seconds out of the box. Amazing difference in difficulty compared to SFIC. Probably going to go to Ace again at some point and get a more challenging lock.
Also picked a Bell cable bike lock. It was an interesting challenge since the keyway was really small and it was a tight fit for the wrench and pick.
