GeGe Lock

hello, i am hoping someone can help..
i have just bought a door second hand to fit on a old storeroom, but without keys!!
i have tried to unscrew the side fixings to release the lock but although most of the mechanism is released it seems the lock itself will not come out?? could anyone offer ideas of how i can get out the lock as to put a new one in?

Can you get some pictures of the bugger online?

if your not worried about any damage to the lock
either drill it or snap it!,that is usually frowned upon
on this site,but since you only asked about removing the lock!

these are your easiest options!

Impressioning would be possible if you could locate the proper blank which I doubt is easy to do since all of my GeGe locks come with keycards to have new keys made.

Leave the multi point in and just remove the euro lock, this is held in by a single screw on the side, if you can not get a driver in you need to lift the handle to show the head of the bolt.

Remove the screw and then pick the lock and turn it to 11 or 1 oclock ish to remove the lock.

The gege is one of the harder to pick ones we have but stick with it.

If you cant pick it then as said impressioning my be your only option.

Where do you live? someone may be close enough to come and help you.

The GE1D/62GE blanks are normally available for the ordinary standard 6 pin Gege cylinders if you want to read up on and try impressioning it. If you do it correctly, you will have a working key. If it's an old(ish) door, it's hopefully one of these.

If you want to pick one of these, as said before, one of the harder picks, but not impossible and keep trying if you want to go about it non-destructively.

However, if it is the Med or CNS patent cylinder which has a grey / black insert at bottom of the keyway and multiple side wards, the blanks for these will be restricted. These are also a lot more difficult still to pick.

thanks everyone for there replies. i will try and post a pic on here tomorrow of the lock, i am new to all this so i think picking could be differcult. i have tried to undo all screw around it and mechanism hanging out but just lock unit wont come out?

Screw the multipoint back in, its just the 1 screw you need to remove for the lock but you need to turn the plug of te lock a bit (the part the key goes in) before you can pull it out,

If you was to tell us which area you ive in one of us may be close enough to call in and pick it for you.
