Got a couple of these in a job lot of stuff.

Plate on the side says:
"I.T.E. Kirk Interlock"
"S.O. 45 - 87252"
"Item 4"
"I.T.E. Imperial Corporation, Greensburg, PA, USA"

I'm guessing some sort of industrial fridge/freezer or something.

Anyone with any ideas?

I think its an interlock,

They are used on machines etc so that the machines power is cut off if for example the gurads are removed or the electrics cover opened,

In fact im almost sure its an interlock,
