This is the toughest lock I have encountered, I still have had no luck picking it. Has anyone got any suggestions with this lock?

Use more torque. This lock is known to need it.

Dear gostone,

You might want to use the search function on this one.
The search function is your best friend and tutor on this website.
One might have mentors, stickies or guides.
But one is nowhere without the search function.

Back on the subject: I've seen several breakdown threads and threads on picking them, so search and you'll get the quickest and best answer there is.

Merry christmas.

Yours,

Jordy

yes the trick is tension, it needs a bit more tension then alot of locks.

I have searched and read all the R70 posts........

I have already read the threads, it's just that this is the only lock I have not picked. It is very frustrating to be stymied by this cheap brinks lock. I have had an easier time with 6 pin cylinders than I have had with this R70.
I have tried little tension, I have tried high tension.................

lighten up

put some light oil in that lock, sand the pick tips and shafts so that there is no roughness, then use light intermittent tension and light rapid picking, it should work, and you will experience being set up on spools, only to see the plug counterrotate. Also, for this lock, the right tensor is a key solution, use one made from the wider windshield wiper stiffeners.
