There are reliable ways to pick mul-t-locks. They are also susceptible to grinding the plug a bit and then shimming them open.

Hi digitalsyborg, please do not take this the wrong way but based on other posts I would take 10 steps back. Large steps. I would work on picking pin tumblers, and then ones with security pins and so forth.

If (yes if) you ever get to the stage where you can pick high security locks (i am no where near there yet) you would have enough patients to do the research, search the web, this forum, manufacturers sites then buy practice locks take them apart and perhaps make any tools needed to suit the lock. As I said this is a big process and it is far from a one line query in a forum. Walk before you can run. It just takes 10 years to learn how to walk in lockpicking ;)

Happy picking mate.

lol warden... this thread is 2 years old :P

There are dedicated tools for MTL classic & interactive, but there are different ones for left/right profiles and they aren't suitable for restricted section keyways. Basically no, there is no 100% reliable way to open them unless you're very very good at picking them manually.
