Abus Padlock 65/50

Hello,

I got an Abus 65/50 and I can NOT pick it, it has mushroom pins, and I need some tips please.

This is what it has (according to its package)
* Double bolted shackle - for extra strengh against levering
* Hardened steel shackle - to protect against hacksaw attack.
* Precision 5 pin cylinder with anti-pick mushroom pins.
* Rust-free springs - for resistance against corrosion.
* Thousands of key differs - reduces the risk of key duplication.
* Self locking mechanism - no key required when locking.

Its solid brass, and its hard to get into lol..

I have an Abus Diskus 24/60 and I can pick this no problem..

Any help with the above lock would be great, thanks.

Is this your first lock? If so this is a rough one to start out on. If you can get yourself a lock with security pins that you can rekey and read db's tutorial.

No this isn't my first lock, I can pick an Abus Diskus 24/60 and several other cheap padlocks.

Just looking for some hints on the mushroom pins, or rather, what are they?

Also do some searching for details of picking spool pins or security pins. This is one of the most asked questions on this forum!

That is a very tricky lock, very well made.
I have an abus 83/45 it has 6 pins schlage ic core
5 mushrooms, and one serated.
I would suggest you start with some easier locks, I have the diskus 24 / 60 and it is a much easier lock, there really is no comparison.
Get yourself an 83/45 with IC core, then you can repin, or use 3 pins, etc. It has a repinning window to change pins.
