Taking apart a lock.

How would u take apart this lock. Keeping in mind they i would still like it to look fairly normal.Its just a simple wafter lock i think. I took it out of a desk and would be interested to see how it works.

You will either have to pick a wafer at the back to release the plug or drill out the rivets holding the plate on and undo something on the back of the plug,

It is a regular wafer lock and i wouldnt bother damageing it it you have to as its simply nothing interesting inside,

Thats just like the lock I took apart.Shrubs right drill out the rivets, then you should see a little piece of metal on the back of the cylinder.Push this down with the key in or pick it and the cylinder should come out.

I think this is the exact same type of lock they give you for practice lessons in the Foley-Belsaw course. The only difference is that their lock came with a small hole already drilled just above the retaining wafer so you can take it apart.
