lock identification

i live in tallahassee, florida. while strolling downtown on my lunch break, i began to notice locks on everything. of course, pin tumblers are very easy to identify, and the only locks ive known for sure that were wafers are master padlocks.
i noticed that parking meters too have locks on them, and when further inspection ensued, i realized that theyre not pin tumbler. could they quite possibly be warded or maybe something i dont even know about? it seems like maybe they would build a special key for this sort of thing, but i just cant identify it. maybe im completely wrong and they are pin tumbler.
im not asking you to help me pick it, just identify
a few quarters would be a waste of my time

A number of companies make parking meter locks, including Medeco, Abloy and Kaba. You would have to take a picture of the keyway before anyone could identify it.

Also, Master doesn't make wafer locks (that I know of). They make pin tumblers, combos and some warded locks. You usually find wafer locks on filing cabinets and desks.

it's unlikey to be a warded lock on a parking meter - they are too insecure to be worth using

If it is just a small slot like a Kaba keyway, it could be the older Bell Tumblers.

i have an older parking meter in my room (unlocked) got it at a yard sale, and the lock doesnt seem to have anything to pick on the inside.....cant figyre out what it is. I need a micro camera to post an inside pic.
