Do all American Locks use security pins? I tried doing a search but when I hit enter it just goes to a blank page.

Yes, and they are one of the very few manufacturers to use security features on the key pins and serrations as an anti-pick measure.

If you want to take a look at the pins of an American 5200 series padlock, look at the post I had here:

Yes both top and bottom pins are serrated.
