hi,
I wanted to know how do I open the combination locks without using the code. The lock that i'm talking about has a key hole. is there anyway I can open it using the key hole? If i'm correct it's called a padlock.
I need to turn it to the left 3 times,2 times to the right and once to the left.
thank you!!! if you helped

Use bolt cutters or some other method, there is no reason to pick it if you have a valid reason to get it off call a locksmith.

assuming you're talking about a combo padlock with the keyhole in the back, yes those can be picked.
you would pick them like any other padlock.

I could never unlock one of them, but i picked my first house already! My frontdoor took me about 1-2 min of picking, 2nd door had 2 locks, took total of 2 min, but I never was able to pick this master combo lock! Maybe the keyhole's too small ;\

You really should _NOT_ pick locks in use, even if you own them, as it can damage them and it can either be less effective or completely break.

You must have Kwikset KW1 on your front door. Kwikset is a notch above the restroom security lock that takes a coin to unlock though.

WOT: I'm kind of impressed, actually. It took me >40 minutes to pick my cheap Kwikset when I locked myself out of the house once. Then again, I wasn't using real picks, but still.

So I heard you'll need slimline picks to pick the back of these locks, and that you can't use normal picks, is this true?

Why not just use a shim? They look like this. You can make one out of a coke can. It just takes some patiences because the aluminum can break.
