First of all, I'm a new lock picker. Well I wouldn't even call me a lock picker yet. I stumbled across some videos on youtube about lock picking and this sounded like a great hobby. My next day off from work I was going to make some lock picks and start practicing on some master locks that I have in the kitchen drawer that I no longer have the keys to.
Last Saturday I went to an auction and they had a Brinks model 5059 safe. Thinking about a video I saw on youtube that was a safe with the combination dial too and the person had no trouble opening it without the combination because all it needed was the key, I went ahead and bid on it . Got it for 10 bucks. The auctioneer guaranteed 10,000 dollars or less (funny man). Got it home and noticed that it doesn't have the handle like in the video.
So, I'm guessing that it is going to need the combination done first and the key is like the handle. Or I can be completely wrong.
Does anybody know if this lock is pickable and if so, will I need the combination too?
If I need the combination is there anyway to get that or am I just screwed and should just cut the bastard open?
Thanks
