picked it twice, but its a pain. just started picking today just wondering which number lock it is, nothing descriptive on the lock its self. and im guessing it has security pins because its so hard to do.

It looks like one of the following series, no.121-141, depending on the dimensions:

I have a similar lock, and i don't believe there are any security pins in it.

Sorry, that was the first link I found with a picture. The 131 and 141 series locks are 4 pins. I believe your lock is one of the 141 series, but I can't find a good picture.

I went to Target tonight because I have killed myself trying to pick my Master #141.

It is so frustrating! The pins are spaced far apart - should be easy. They are loose - should be easy. The plug is loose - should be easy. BUT I CAN'T PICK THE THING!

So I went to Target to see if any of the other #141s there had easier pinnings. NOPE! They ALL had an incredibly DEEP first pin.

Raking is not an option for all of the 141s I looked at at Target (at least 10 different pinnings) and it doesn't work with mine.

A deep hook and SPP is what you will probably need.

And it is so frustrating because the lock is garbage! I could probably bend a ruler and snap it at the lock and bust it open, but I can't pick the thing! :D

That series actually does have spool pins, so can be a bit of a pain to pick but is actually vulnerable to a comb bypass.

Borrowed one of these from the shop yesterday and was able to pick it within 2-3 minutes. The cylinder is loose and it makes guessing the tension tricky but it wasn't too hard.

yeah since you can do a comb pick on this i figured an easy way to figure out the tension would be push the first pin up all the way and just barely put enough tension on it to keep up pin and not have it fall back into the cylinder.

Yeah that's what I did. I kind of pinned it in a corner and held it stationary. Picked from there.

Also, they really don't let you know when they've been picked. They barely, if ever, give. You kind of have to double check before you try to turn or you have to start all over.
