If you want a good practice, you could also get one of those brinks padlocks, full of security pins, not a bad challenge either, oooh or you can get a best cylinder and it will be a good practice to pick in to open it, and for a challenge you can try picking it at the second sheer line to remove the core ;)

abloy and kwikset are good options too

though if i had 25 bucks, and i do, i would (and if rai contacts me, will) send them to raimundo, to get "hooked up" with some tools. Respect Rai, you make some awesome tools :)

Oops, i meant to say that brinks locks are full of spool pins, while they are a type of a "security pin" i just wanted to clarify.... it would be nice to be able to edit my own posts too... oh well, i figured i'd clarify

I'll top that offer. Send me $25 and I'll send you a signed picture of myself!
If you don't want that, you should buy an American padlock. They are quite difficult.

I'll second this one.

That $25 investment is probably one of the best deals around.

And no sending him $25 doesn't earn me anything. But I do believe you won't get any better picks for the price.

Other then that whats your skill level? If your still learning the concept of picking locks the buy a schlage dead bolt. Or instead of buying a new one pm me and I'll get you one side of a schlage deadbolt to practice with for cheap (I have quite a few sitting next to me). The Schlage is a decent quality lock thats really easy to repin. Making it a good training lock.

Thats more of a gamble than any kind of investment cos you'll never know the quality you'll get or what else you get along with that service.

Sorry to hit you with another sales pitch for raimundo's bogatas,

but having just purchased a set 2 weeks ago, these things are incredible.
They look great, feel comfortable, and work faster than "open sesame".

I know you said you wanted to buy locks to practice on, but don't rule out these tools

Sometime next year I'll really have to buy a set and try them out myself. This year was kinda tough financially.

Hey raimundo, do you have a "X number of bogota picks limit per person" policy? Cos if I really like this tool (and I'm sure I would) I might want to get a set for everyone at my shop.
